Brie Larson and Alex Greenwald started seeing each other in 2013. While the Marvel star and the musician kept most of their relationship under wraps, she did talk about her ex-partner on several occasions. “He’s the other half of the equation,” the Room actress told Entertainment Tonight.
She added, “I mean, it goes beyond anything. He’s just my person. He’s my best friend.” After dating for three years, the two got engaged in 2016. However, they called off nearly three years of engagement in January 2019. Sources claimed that they were taking “a step back” from their relationship.
“They have taken a step back from their engagement for the time being, but they remain close,” the source revealed as per People. While the statement seemed to suggest that they were just taking a break, the two never got back together.
Soon after her split from Greenwald, Larson was rumored to be romantically involved with actor-filmmaker Elijah Allan-Blitz. They reportedly started dating in 2019 and have since broken up, as the Fast X actress said during an interview that she does not have a partner. Greenwald was also rumored to be dating the Vampire Diaries actress Phoebe Tonkin.

Following her split from Alex Greenwald, Brie Larson was in a relationship with Elijah Allan-Blitz. The Marvels star even shared their pictures and clips on Instagram and made their first public appearance at the 2020 Academy Awards.
However, during a 2023 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the actress shared that she does not have a partner. “I don’t have a next job. I don’t have a home. I don’t have a partner. I don’t have a plan. I’m just completely open,” she said during the interview.
However, Larson did not state clearly when she and Elijah Allan-Blitz ended their relationship. The Trainwreck actress is reportedly not seeing anyone and has said that she is exploring the world and her creativity. The 34-year-old actress has recently been in conversation for her latest film, The Marvels.
