White Castle opening near Disney World

ORLANDO, Fla. — Good news for burger lovers in Florida just rolled out, and we think you’ll like it.

The Orlando Business Journal reports the little, delicious, square burgers from White Castle are heading to Florida—and for the first time in more than 50 years!

And if burgers aren’t your thing, that’s fine: their menu offers a wide variety of other sliders like chicken, waffle and sloppy joe. Plus, you can pick from sides like mac ‘n cheese, chicken rings and corndog nibblers.

The Orlando Business Journal says White Castle will be at Unicorp National Developments Inc.'s $1 billion O-Town West near Palm Parkway and Daryl Carter Boulevard.

White Castle was founded almost 100 years ago. The company’s website says it launched as a little family-owned business that sold small, five-cent square burgers in 1921. Then, it boomed into a beautiful burger business.

In fact—it was the first fast-food hamburger chain. McDonald's didn’t even come around until the 1950s.

And now, Florida will join 13 other states that White Castle restaurants call home.
