Through in his own words in a transcript of his interview with podcaster Tom Power that gained viral attention states, "The best thing about me is that if an alcoholic or drug addict comes up to me and says 'Will you help me?' I will always say 'Yes, I know how to do that. I will do that for you, even if I can't always do it for myself.' So I do that, wherever I can. In groups, or one on one".

What is the Perry House?
The Perry House, a beachfront compound in Malibu spanning 5,500 sq ft, was Matthew Perry's former residence.
As per The Guardian, In 2013, upon deciding to relocate, he collaborated with addiction specialist Earl Hightower to transform the house into a residential sober-living center.
This facility provided men dealing with addiction issues access to meditation programs and a 12-step workshop.
However, two years later, Perry sold the house, citing, "It was too expensive to run and the business didn’t really work".
Despite the shift, he expressed a desire to refocus on smaller, more discreet premises near the center of Los Angeles, although the outcome of this intention remains unclear.
The noble concept behind the Perry House earned Perry recognition, as he received a Champion of Recovery award from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy in 2013.
