What Is The Fortnite Power Leveling Weekend? Start & End Time

Epic Games has officially revealed a special ‘Power Leveling Weekend’ for all Fortnite players, as a way to say sorry for the recent server outage that took place in December.

Alongside the brand new Power Leveling Weekend, Fortnite players will also be receiving a free cosmetic item. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming double XP weekend, including the start and end time and how you can get a free cosmetic item in-game.

What Is The Fortnite Power Leveling Weekend?

During the final days of December, Fortnite servers began experiencing some matchmaking issues which prevented players from logging into the game. The problems persisted for well over 6 hours and even reappeared briefly the following day.

As a way to apologise for the server downtime, Epic Games has announced the brand new Power Leveling Weekend. Starting at 7PM ET on Friday, January 7th until 7AM ET on Monday, January 10th, players will be able to earn double XP whilst playing.

So this weekend is the best time to jump into Fortnite and grind out some levels. Plus, players will also be able to get their hands on the brand new Crescent Shroom Pickaxe.

How To Get The Crescent Shroom Pickaxe For Free

Alongside the upcoming double XP weekend, Epic Games also announced that anyone who logged in during the Winterfest Event will receive the brand new Crescent Shroom Pickaxe before it arrives in Item Shop.

The Winterfest Event kicked off on December 16th and will run until January 6th, if you logged in during this period you will be eligible to receive the new cosmetic item for free.
