Update: A few counties now under a winter storm warning

Snow totals of 2-4+ inches are being reported south of Indianapolis and snow continues to fall overnight.

INDIANAPOLIS — Snow totals are coming into the 13 Weather Center and they are as high as 4.5" in Bloomington.

Snow totals will be in the range of 2-4+ inches south of Indianapolis. The threat for heavy snow will continue overnight night south and southeast of Indianapolis.

A few counties in southeast Indiana have been upgraded to a winter storm warning. Stay weather aware and prepare for school delays and closings on Tuesday and slow travel.

From about I-70 north we are forecasting a dusting to maybe an inch or two. There will be some slick and snow covered roads, so plan on allowing some extra travel time tonight and early Tuesday. There is another chance for snow Wednesday into early Thursday. This will bring another 1-3 inches of snow to central Indiana. There will be the potential for some ice with the snow south on Wednesday. We will keep you updated.

We are forecasting lows in the teens and highs in the 20s over through Thursday. We are also tracking another round of Arctic air for the end of the week and the weekend. This will mean more single digits if not below zero low temperatures and highs only in the teens.
