Tory Burch Interview on Launching Tory Sport Workout and Athleisure for Fall 2015

To wit, there's a separate team of designers, all brought in for the task rather than poached from other departments. Everything came together beautifully too, with the pop-up housing the entire range. There's something for everyone, with rash guards, golf pants, the world's cutest tennis dress, and a seam-sealed windbreaker that's as practical as any from sporting brands, yet sleek enough to look totally fine with skinny jeans and ballet flats. "We spent as much time on the inside of the product as we did on the outside," she added.

The biggest difference between Tory Sport and the other athleisure brands currently on the market is that she addresses the desire of a woman who might want to look sporty (and come from a workout) without actually wearing her leggings and sneakers. Well-cut wide-leg pants and super soft cashmere sweaters are available, all perfect for pulling over yoga or Pilates togs. And you need not feel forced to wear your sneakers the rest of the day if it's just not your thing: the collection also includes a few killer gym bags.

The site is divided into categories that you'd expect from a workout brand (sports bras, leggings), plus some you won't (dresses and skirts, sweater). It all comes together for a pretty full picture, and, should you not be the fitness type, Burch has a pretty stellar idea for how you can still be a shopper.

"What do you wear to an airport? A good-looking tracksuit is really chic and you're super comfortable."

Lesson heard, nice and clear.
