Pastel sashes are lovely, but I love when a wedding dress is paired with a sash that's a little more bold!

Here are three gorgeous wedding dresses with high-contrast sashes, all from the Spring 2012 runways. If you're considering a dress with a bold sash, bring along a friend whose fashion sense you trust when you try on dresses—the look definitely has the potential to make you look short-waisted, but that's not always the case. Not sure if you're pulling it off? Keep this in mind: A non-black sash (like the one on the second dress) is less likely to make you look chopped in half.
