“This has to be a joke”: Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO Release Date Issue Upsets Fans

The new “Goku VS Vegeta – Rivals” trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero was unveiled by Bandai Namco during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2024. The initial twenty-four characters from what seems to be a core roster of 164 in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero were also unveiled in the latest trailer.

Going all the way up to their Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan transformations, the new footage featured Goku and Vegeta fighting their way through multiple Dragon Ball sagas. Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC are the launch platforms for Sparking! Zero. It looked as though the final scene of the trailer confirmed that character variations will have a place on the roster, with all of Goku and Vegeta’s forms which occupied totally distinct spaces from various Dragon Ball sagas.

While the trailer has excited the fans, the one thing that has disappointed and upset the fans is the release date. The trailer has no release date and fans are not happy with it as they have been waiting for over three years for the game.

When the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour concluded in March 2023, the first announcement of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero was made. It’s been over ten years since Dragon Ball saw a new Budokai Tenkaichi entry, and Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has put an end to that long wait.

Unfortunately, as some fans had hoped, they never got to see the release date for Sparking Zero; instead, the trailer concluded with the same “Wishlist Now” message that has been displayed for the past few months. But seeing the hype and promotion going around for the game many fans speculate that the game could very well be launched by the end of 2024.

Fans Are Upset About Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Trailer Having No Release Date

Dragon Ball fans took to X(Formerly Twitter) to share their sadness about not having a release date for the game. Now they can only hope that the next announcement by Bandai would be about the release date of the game.

Still no release date? This has to be a joke.

As the game has not yet talked about the release date, fans have made their own speculations about the game’s potential release. Because the Dragon Ball franchise will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, it can very well release the game along with the upcoming anime series Dragon Ball Daima.
