The Rock gifts Zimbabwean UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo fully furnished house

American actor and retired professional wrestler, Dwayne Douglas Johnson, aka the Rock, has gifted a Zimbabwean UFC fighter Temba Gorimbo a fully furnished house in Miami, USA.

This comes weeks after the American actor learned that the UFC fighter had just $7 in his account before his first UFC victory.

Johnson, who struggled financially before becoming famous, felt a connection to Gorimbo. He revealed that he, too, once had only $7 with him and had experienced comparable obstacles and tribulations in his life.

He shared Gorimbo’s story after he defeated Japanese Takashi Sato at UFC Vegas 73 and helped him sell his fight gear for a whopping $7,000.

However, to everyone’s and Johnson’s surprise, Gorimbo, who didn’t have a house at the time, didn’t keep the money for himself but instead gave back to his village in Zimbabwe. He used the money to build a bush pump so his village can have access to clean water.

Dwayne Johnson was moved by this and reportedly gifted the UFC fighter a fully furnished house and offered mentorship to him.
