The difference between Mother's Day and Father's Day

Father's Day is now less than a week away.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Father's Day is now less than a week away.

Men can get the short end of the stick on this, in that 70 percent of Americans surveyed said they planned to get their father something for the occasion while 80 percent got something for their mother for Mother's Day, according to RetailMeNot.com. The same survey found Americans will spend roughly $90 on Dad compared to the $100 they spent on Mom.

It can always be a struggle to snag the perfect gift for the men in your life, so Carlos Diaz asked real dads around Indy to find out what they really want. They gave answers ranging from lawn mowers to golf clubs and just good behavior from the kids.

If you're looking to take Dad out for a meal, you could try Father's Day brunch at Movable Feast on 65th Street. This is the first year they've offered it. While Mother's Day brunch often features mimosas and eggs benedict, this "bros brunch" is all about the brews and bacon.

Space will fill up fast, so be sure to make a reservation online.
