Spanish man breaks 100m sprint record wearing high heels
A Spanish world record holder ran a 100-metre dash while wearing high heels.
Christian Roberto López Rodrguez covered the distance in 12.82 seconds while wearing 2.76-inch stiletto heels, winning his 57th Guinness World Record, which it shared on its Instagram page on Friday, 23rd June.
His timing was only 3.24 seconds slower than Jamaican runner and eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt’s world record in the 100-metre sprint.

“The preparation was very exhaustive and specific,” Rodrguez, 34, told GWR.
“I find it extremely difficult to run in high heels at high speeds. There are races like this in Spain, and they have always gone well for me.”
He defeated Germany’s André Ortolf, who set the record in 2019 with a timing of 14.02 seconds.

The extremely ambitious record holder also holds other titles for the 100-metre sprint and is the quickest man to have done it blindfolded, in a sack, in clogs, and backwards.
He has set world records for balancing objects, such as a bicycle on his chin and an object on his nose for the longest period of time.
