After the massive success of movies like Uncharted and the TV series, The Last of Us which were based on the console games of the same name, Play Station’s flagship game series, God of War is also looking to make its impact in the genre with a television series.
A lot of big names are being considered for the lead role of Kratos but a new source revealed that one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars at the moment, Dwayne Johnson will be taking up the lead role in the series and the fans were not happy to hear that. The fans argued on Twitter how the Guardians of the Galaxy star, Dave Bautista would be far better for the role of Kratos.

Although there have not been many details about the God of War live-action series recently, there have been rumors going around that Dwayne Johnson would play the lead role of Kratos. The news divided the internet rapidly with the majority preferring other actors like Dave Bautista and Travis Fimmel. A large portion of fans showed their support for the Bushwick actor on Twitter and described how the actor would be a much better fit for the role than Dwayne Johnson.
One user wrote that although Dwayne Johnson definitely has the physique for the role, he does not have that deep and menacing voice like Kratos.

The co-creator of the God of War game, Cory Barlog also reacted to the Baywatch actor being cast as Kratos and revealed that he had absolutely no idea of this casting.

Many fans let out a sigh of relief after hearing this because it is pretty clear that if Dwayne Johnson was being cast as Kratos, Cory Barlog might have heard of this from the creators of the series.
Fans also went on to request Barlog on Twitter to cast Christopher Judge, the voice actor for the character of Kratos in the games, as Kratos in the live-action series of the game as well.
