One of the famous American directors, Patty Jenkins has been in the limelight for her contribution to Dawn of Justice League, Wonder Woman, and Wonder Woman 1984.
Cinema lovers have appreciated her work as a director, especially for her partnership with DC Comics. No doubt Jenkins has 15 award wins and 20 nominations to her name. However, despite her fame, fans are confused as to why there’s so much confusion about appointing her as the director of Star Wars’ Rogue Squadron.
Industry Insider Claims Patty Jenkins is Not Working on Star Wars Rogue Squadron
It was bad news for fans when Disney pulled out Rogue Squadron from the release list in late 2022, considering the hype surrounding the Star Wars offering. However, the recent words of American director and screenwriter Patty Jenkins sparked further rumors about the film.

In contrast to Jenkins’ side of the story, Jeff Sneider, a film critic, publicly alleged that Rogue Squadron has some potential, and down the line, the film might happen. However, Sneider made it very clear in the video on John Rocha’s channel that Patty Jenkins was twice removed from the post of the director.

Although Sneider is confident about Jenkins missing out on being the director of Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Jenkins herself has the exact opposite opinion. After being on hold for so long, Jenkins recently said on the Talking Pictures podcast that she is currently working on the script of Rogue Squadron.

After Wonder Woman 3 went into the bin, Jenkins immediately shifted her focus back to Rogue Squadron, or so she said. Regarding Rogue Squadron, Jenkins said (via The Hollywood Reporter):
“The emotion of Star Wars and what it stands for is something so beautiful in this world.”
Even after Jenkins has confidently confirmed her position in the crew of Rogue Squadron, Sneider is seemingly not buying it. He believes that there is absolutely no way that Jenkins will be the pilot of this movie. Of course, for now, it seems as if only time will tell whether or not Jenkins will be working on the Star Wars movie.
