Saturday Night Live Took Aim at the Adam Levine Cheating Scandal in Unforgiving Game Show Sketch—Watch the Video

Saturday Night Live is coming in hot with a sketch about Adam Levine.

On October 1, SNL returned for its 48th season with host Miles Teller and musical guest Kendrick Lamar. In one particularly relevant sketch, the variety show took aim at the lead singer of Maroon 5's messy cheating scandal. In mid-September, an Instagram model went public with their alleged affair after Levine asked in a DM to name his unborn child after her. The singer is married to Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, who is pregnant with their third child.

In the sketch, Teller plays your quintessential game show host of the fictional competition Send Something Normal. “The game is very simple,” Teller tells the contestants. “We have four male celebrity contestants, and all they have to do is reply to a woman’s DM on Instagram in a way that is normal. And fellows, if you send a normal DM, you win $100 million.”

First up was Adam Levine (SNL cast member Mikey Day), who was tasked with responding to the DM, “Hey Adam! Huge fan. Love your music!” His immediate reaction? Asking to see her “most liked vacation pic.” Of course, he lost the game, replying with a series of over-the-top replies, including, “Your body is making my penis smile.”

Fellow contestants include Armie Hammer (James Austin Johnson), Neil DeGrasse Tyson (Kenan Thompson), and “returning champion” Bowen Yang. Watch the full Saturday Night Live sketch here:

Following the release of Levine's DMs with IG model Sumner Stroh, the singer denied the affair. “I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner,” he said in a statement on September 20. “I did not have an affair. Nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life.”
