I can recall in the late sixties driving by the Seal Beach depot and seeing hundreds, maybe thousands of underwater mines stacked up, no doubt left over from long ago conflicts. I suspect they have been decomissioned and scrapped by now. That was a pretty busy venue about that time, I suspect, and that little engine probably got a lot of work then.
