Pure water producers increase price of each bag from N200 to N300

A bag of pure water (sachet water) will no longer sell at N200 as the Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) has increased the price to N300.

This was disclosed by the National President of the association, Clementina Ativie, on Wednesday after a unanimous decision was reached during its national convention in Abuja.

According to Ativie, the increment is a result of the high cost of production and raw materials.

“The price of sachet water popularly known as pure water is now N300 per bag as the company price,” she said.

She also noted that “There will be no extra bag or extra pieces henceforth for wholesale or retail buyers.”

Appealing for understanding among customers, Ativie said the increase will help pure water producers cope with economic shocks that come with the high cost of materials used for production.

It’s been over a year since the association increased the price of a bag of pure water to N200 on November 11, 2021.
