Neymar ‘cries’ after losing N500m to online casino games in one hour
Brazillian football superstar, Neymar da Silva Santos’s bad luck with injuries seems to have extended to online gambling, where he lost €1 million (over N500 million) in just one hour of online casino play, which he streamed on his Twitch account.
The PSG star, who earns £3.2 million (almost N2 billion naira) per month, has been left to his own devices after being ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury.
Neymar enjoys gambling in his free time, which he has plenty of as he recovers from surgery.
Though he is best known for his passion for poker, Neymar frequently participates in online games on his Twitch platform.
He cast away a large sum of money by doing so on this occasion.
When he realised what was going on, the 31-year-old pretended to cry as a mock Titanic theme started to play – music that is frequently used on social media as a theme for times of sadness.

The star presented a variety of mock emotions in a few seconds, as his crying changed into laughter then a yell.
He then laughed and said ‘oh f***’ before joining in on the out-of-tune flute music, pretending to perform the instrument.
According to Globo Esporte, a Brazilian media company, one of his teammates in the distance could be heard saying, “Neymar went from a million to zero in 60 minutes.”
Neymar then joked that he was going to upload the moment’s footage to YouTube, clearly unconcerned about losing £900,000.
While gambling can leave many people susceptible to financial problems, it is safe to say that Neymar is not one of them.
The top Ligue 1 salaries were disclosed earlier this week by the French publication L’Equipe.
Neymar was placed second on the list and is said to earn £3.2 million per month before sponsorships and endorsements.
He makes slightly more than Lionel Messi, who earns around £3 million per month, while another PSG teammate, Kylian Mbappe, tops the list with a staggering £5.2 million.
