Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition has Leaked ahead of Release, but is it Worth It?
Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition is the latest leaked update for the highly anticipated upcoming instalment in the Call of Duty franchise. The leak also includes details about the pre-order bonuses that true Call of Duty fans will get to enjoy with different editions of the game. These pre-order bonuses will apparently consist of a lot of additional content, including early access to the Modern Warfare 3 campaign and various bonus skins.
Let us look into the various editions of the upcoming title and exactly what extra goodies come with each one, including the version that stands out the most, Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition.
Pre-order Details and Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition
Although Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition was probably going to be announced during the official reveal stream of the game planned for August 17, impatient data miners uncovered details about it before any official announcement. Like with all other online leaks, we advise keeping a bit of scepticism regarding these new details, but considering the quality and timing of this information, it definitely feels authentic to a high extent.
Pre-order links still aren’t live for any version of the game, including the Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition, and this leaked information is obviously subject to change once it officially gets revealed during the planned stream. But anyway, let’s first look at the various preorder bonuses that accompany the upcoming Call of Duty title.
Aside from the Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition, the leaks have told us that the game comes with three preorder bonuses that include:
- Early single-player campaign access
- Early multiplayer open beta access
- Soap Operator DLC Pack
The leak doesn’t contain any information about exactly when early access will be available, but we can guess by looking at how Activision handled it for the previous game in the series, Modern Warfare 2, which was playable one week before its actual release. So, Modern Warfare 3 should become playable on November 3. The Soap Operator DLC pack consists of a weapon blueprint that can actually be used in the multiplayer modes for Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Vanguard, along with two character skins.
Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition and More
Before we get into details about Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition, let’s discuss the other two versions of the game. There is obviously the Standard Edition, which will include the base game along with the aforementioned pre-order features if you choose to buy it before release. Then comes the game’s Cross-Gen Edition, which is quite similar to the standard version, but it will provide you with both the current and last-gen versions of the game for just one price.
Like the other editions, you get the aforementioned preorder bonuses with this version as well if you buy it before launch. This edition will be playable on various platforms, including the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, in both digital and physical formats. Now, let’s see what comes with the Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition.
The Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition will supposedly consist of the base game and all of the pre-order bonuses, along with even more additional features, including:
- BlackCell Season One BattlePass (plus bonuses like 50 Tier Skips)
- Nemesis Operator Pack (including operator skins such as Ghost, Price, Makarov, and Warden)
- Two Weapon Vaults at no extra cost
