Martha Stewart Shares Her Antiaging Skin Care Secrets: ‘I Hate Botox’
Martha Stewart, beloved Leo icon, is known for more things than I could write in a workday: a business tycoon, television host and personality, best-selling author, and close friend of Snoop Dogg. It's tough to name one thing the certified thirst-trap queen doesn't do—well, except age.
Despite being the oldest cover star to grace a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, the 81-year-old seems to be aging backward—so much so that followers theorize she's gotten plastic surgery. Stewart was quick to dispel these rumors, however, telling Variety: “Well, it’s not true. I’ve had absolutely no plastic surgery whatsoever.” She’s also not particularly fond of Botox. “Every now and then there are certain fillers that I can do for a little line here or there, but I hate Botox,” she said. "It’s a weird thing for me. I really and truly don’t do a lot.”
As for what she does do to her maintain her youthful glow? Stewart claims it’s all thanks to her health regimen. “I drink green juice every day,” she told Variety. “I take my vitamins. I eat very healthfully. I have very good skin doctors. I’m very careful in the sun. I wear hats and I wear sunblock every single day.”
Stewart turned it up a notch in preparation for the Sports Illustrated shoot too, practicing Pilates three times a week, cutting out alcohol, and opting for more frequent facials, for which she sees facialist Carmela Barabas at celebrity skin care hot spot Mario Badescu.

“We do a range of treatments for Martha,” Barabas told British Vogue in February. “There’s the European Facial, which includes a detoxifying steam, extractions, a light face and neck massage followed by a combination of customized masks, and is designed to improve the appearance of your skin. We also do the Pearl Treatment, which is infused with protein- and mineral-rich pearl powder and works to promote soft, glowing skin; the Vitamin C Treatment, which uses powerful antioxidants to target skin texture and tone, and the Q10 Eye Treatment, a concentrated treatment that wakes up tired eyes for an all-round brighter complexion.”
