Marshalls will launch online store

The retail store, owned by TJC Cos. Inc., is launching an online store, Bloomberg reported.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Bargain shoppers rejoice!

Marshalls is giving its customers more ways to shop.

The retail store, owned by TJX Cos. Inc., is launching an online store, Bloomberg reported.

The company’s current website offers a store locator, gift cards and some other features, however, customers can't actually purchase items on the site.

That's going to change.

TJX Chief Executive Officer Ernie Herrman told Bloomberg that the company would start an e-commerce business for its Marshalls brand later this year.

According to Bloomberg, Marshalls doesn't necessarily need an online retail space as the brand exceeded its fourth-quarter sales last year. But its sister company, TJ Maxx, has one and it's been a growing part of the brand.
