‘Marry your mother then’ – Peter Okoye blasts many on Twitter over Hakimi’s Divorce issue

Famous Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P of the P-square music group, has aired his view on PSG defender, Achraf Hakimi’s recent divorce issue.

There have been updates of the millionaire footballer, Achraf battling a divorce filing from his wife, Hiba Abouk, on Friday, April 14, 2023. The footballer’s wife had asked for half of Achraf’s assets but was informed that Achraf technically has no assets because all his assets were held in his mother’s name.

Many social media users, especially men, praised the Footballer for his “smart move”. However, Peter Okoye, took to his Twitter to oppose their views. He sarcastically noted that they should have married their mothers if they do not trust their wives.

In his words,

“Like I don’t get it. The truth is bitter but needs to be told. If you don’t trust her, then don’t marry as simple as that. Or are you expecting your wife to suffer after a divorce? Remember! The one you trusted with all your property in the name of Mother was once your father’s wife. #HakimiDivorce. The mother u are clamoring about was/is also somebody’s wife at some point, before she became his mother. What if she was treated the same way? Pls Marry your Mother! EOS. Make all of una go marry una Mama!… no time! Since Hakimi sense wan ki una”.
