Marlon Brando is the actor known for portraying the role of Vito Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather. Finding fame and recognition for his work in other movies like A Streetcar Named Desire, Apocalypse Now, and Superman.

With millions to his name, the actor unfortunately passed away in 2004 after a long battle with obesity. In his will, the actor reportedly cut his adopted daughter because of certain financial occurrences that had happened in the past!

Earning fame and money from his work in several iconic movies from the early 1950s to the late 1970s, Marlon Brando amassed a fortune of $23 million in liquid assets and had his own private island in Tahiti worth $100 million!

Before his death in 2004, Marlon Brando wrote in his will that his adopted daughter Petra Brando-Corval. Caroline Barrett, the mother of Petra Brando-Corval had some ongoing issues with her husband James Clavell which led to Brando adopting their daughter since Barrett was an assistant to the veteran actor.

In 1976, Caroline Barrett asked for retirement from Marlon Brando’s services. In return, The Godfather actor asked her to repay the ‘loan’ that he had spent on their daughter Petra Brando-Corval. Stating that this was a way to keep her out of retirement, Barrett took the matter to court which sided with her. Later on, Marlon Brando wrote in his will that Petra Brando-Corval was not to get any assets from his will after his death!

“I intentionally and with full knowledge of the consequences do not provide in my will or in my living trust for Cheyenne’s issue or for Petra Brando-Corval, or for any of Petra’s issue.”

Well, there was indeed an iconic reason to cast Marlon Brando in The Godfather since the actor does have the behavior of a gangster. A fan on X mentioned the time some real-life mobsters hung around the sets of the 1972 movie and how Brando ‘mooned’ them.

Mooning someone is essentially pulling down the pants and showing someone the backside as a form of protest or booing. Well, Brando did exactly that but in this case, with some real-life gangsters! As per an account on XFascinating revealed an interesting story about what went down on the sets of the 1972 film!

“During the filming of the first Godfather movie, the mafia got awfully curious about what went on during filming. The mob actively followed the actors and actresses around and hovered around the sets, much to the chagrin of the actors. Marlon Brando in particular wasn’t too pleased.”

The tweet further continued,

“Brando said he had had enough of “those mob bastards,” rolled down the car window, pulled down his pants all the way, and mooned them! Duvall later said of the event that his famous co-star pulled his pants down just a little too much.”

With a high rating of 9.2/10 on IMDB and a whopping 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, Ford Coppola’s film became the recipient of three Oscars. The Marlon Brando starrer is available to stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.
