MARCIANO CANTERO: WHO WAS HE?
Marciano, who was born in Argentina in 1960, started Los Enanitos Verdes in 1979. He formed the rock group Little Green Dwarves with bandmates Felipe Staiti and Daniel Piccolo, which became one of the biggest Latin rock bands of the 1980s and 1990s.
The group gained notoriety thanks to hits like Lamento Boliviano, Luz De Dia, and La Murella Verde. Marciano began a solo career and made two studio albums in 1990.
He has since continued to work with Los Enanitos Verdes on recordings and tours, and he has even received two Grammy nominations for best Latin rock/alternative performance.
Marciano joined the band earlier this summer during their 17-city tour in honour of their 40th anniversary as a group. The tour ended in August. His net worth stood at $2 million. Rocío Herrán was his wife.
