Lynx, Mcgregor, Adams, Wishon and Snake E

As previously posted, Lynx should be easy to obtain - a once pretty good brand with full range that went down, was resurrected and is now scrapping away at the low end. Their 'Boom Boom' Driver fiasco did them little credit!

Adams is now part of TM and their products now mainly appear to be marketed at the 'Game Improvement' market. I've always been a fan of their leading edge approach and the use of quality, real shafts!

McGregor has also been through highs an lows! THE name when Nicklaus was in his prime! Been through several hands since - those of Greg Norman included - but apparently without much real direction. There have been a number of very fine sets of McGregor branded irons, though they never seemed to get the hang of Woods once they weren't made from wood! The brand is now owned by Golfsmith!

See my sig for my use of Adams and McGregor! The irons were actually made by Miura!

Tom Wishon has just announced his retirement from running the Wishon company - and sold out to Diamond Golf - his UK/Europe distributor. I'm puzzled why he chose them!

Snake Eyes was/is another Golfsmith brand that made very good kit - that was also available through fitters/component suppliers. Wishon was actually involved in some of their best designs! Their Blades and their Combo sets were particularly good - and well priced!
