He was beaten and burnt by a mob of motorcyclists and passers-by while attempting to settle a dispute.

The crime led to the arrest of a few suspects by the Lagos State Police Command.

In a series of tweets days later, his sister-in-law narrated how the event happened.

According to her, David Imoh was falsely accused of being an internet fraudster after arriving the scene of the incident to settle a dispute between two men and a motorcyclist.

She said the dispute was as a result of N100 change.

She said trouble started when the motorcyclist fainted after a punch from one of the passengers, who hit the cyclist after he held his shirt.

A similar incident had reportedly occurred in the area where an internet fraudster was said to have killed a motorcyclist.

According to her, David Imoh ran for cover as things escalated quickly but was accused by a woman who called on the mob to pounce on him.
