Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn’s Chemistry Is Still Out of Control

What is the hottest any two actors have visibly been for one another on screen in the history of television? If you answered anything other than Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn in Scandal, you’re incorrect. If you don’t believe me, just watch this 20-second clip of the two of them interacting, which is going viral on social media for, ahem, obvious reasons.

In the clip, which Washington posted to Twitter and Instagram, the Scandal actor, dressed in a sultry red ensemble of sheer lace top and matching trousers, walks down a hotel hallway and knocks on a door. Goldwyn answers, takes two steps forward, and the two merely gaze at one another for a moment before bursting into laughter and hugging. Anyone else suddenly feeling flushed?

Washington captioned the video, “Hi D.C.👋🏾 #Olitz is ready for you,” referencing the fan ship name for their characters, Olivia Pope and Fitzgerald Grant. For sexy good measure, the video was also scored by the musical theme that played during their characters’ biggest moments on the show. Not that you need to be a Scandal fan to get it. They’re a walking advertisement for more sex scenes in movies and TV.

“Her husband and his wife are the strongest people alive,” tweeted one viewer in response. “The olitz theme i don’t think you guys understand how fast i fell to the floor like it’s a visceral reaction it’s a trauma response,” joked another Twitter-user. Meanwhile, costar Scott Foley, who played Olivia’s other love interest on the show, teasingly commented on Instagram, “…I don’t get it.”

The two were reunited to promote Washington’s new memoir, Thicker Than Water, which she referenced in another post, featuring four equally electric pictures of the pair. “#ThickerthanWater drip 💧 (#Olitz’s Version 😍),” Kerry Washington wrote.
