Jonathan Majors exits Dennis Rodman biopic in wake of assault conviction
What happened in Vegas will no longer involve Jonathan Majors.
The Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star is exiting the forthcoming Dennis Rodman biopic 48 Hours in Vegas, EW has confirmed. The news, which was first reported by CNN, comes less than a month after Majors was found guilty on one count of assault and one count of harassment in a domestic violence trial, which concerned a dispute with his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Majors faces up to one year in prison and will be sentenced Feb. 6.
48 Hours in Vegas (a working title) is set to chronicle Chicago Bulls forward Dennis Rodman's infamous trip to Sin City in the middle of the 1998 NBA Finals. The film was originally in development at Lionsgate, but the studio is no longer involved. The project may now be brought to other distributors by producers Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Aditya Sood. Rodman himself is on board as an executive producer.

Representatives for Majors didn't immediately respond to EW's request for comment.
Majors was a rising star in Hollywood when he was arrested in March and charged with strangulation, assault, and harassment. He has maintained his innocence.
On the day of his conviction, Marvel Studios dropped Majors from its slate of upcoming projects, including the next Avengers movie. Majors had previously played comic book baddie Kang the Conqueror in Quantumania and Loki, and was expected to be the main antagonist of the studio’s multi-film Multiverse Saga. Disney, which owns Marvel Studios, has also pulled the actor's once-buzzy Sundance film Magazine Dreams from its release calendar.
Majors was acquitted of two other counts of assault and aggravated harassment. In June, he filed his own domestic violence complaint against Jabbari, and she was arrested in relation to the March incident in October, but the Manhattan District Attorney's Office declined to prosecute her.
In his first post-trial interview earlier this week, Majors said he was "shocked and afraid" after his conviction. "I'm an athlete," he added. "I'm a sportsman. I know my body. I know how it moves. I know my strength, or lack thereof, you know? None of that was employed on her."
