Is Bibarel Good in Pokemon GO? Max CP and Best Moveset

We’re now entering one of the weirdest Pokemon GO events that Niantic has given us in quite some time – the Bidoof Breakout event.

This event sets an army of Bidoof on players and offers a range of bonuses; including special moves and up to 4x XP.

One of the special moves that is being added to the movepool is Hyper Beam for Bibarel.

But, is Bibarel now good in Pokemon GO? Let’s take a look at its best moveset and max CP to find out.

What is the best moveset for Bibarel?

Strangely, Bibarel’s special move from the Bidoof Breakout Event doesn’t even get into its top three in most situations.

Instead, if you do plan on using Bibarel, you’re better off sticking to the moves it had previously.

Fast Move – Water Gun
Charge Move – Surf
Charge Move – Hyper Fang

This is the best way to get some decent coverage, while still having Hyper Fang to dish out some STAB damage.

Max CP and Meta Relevance

Bibarel’s CP certainly doesn’t set the world on fire.

At level 40, the Beaver Pokemon has a max CP of 1823, providing it has perfect IV’s. At level 50, when powered up with XL Candies, Bibarel’s max CP tops out at 2061.

How does it perform in PVP?

Let’s point out the obvious first – Bibarel is not suited for the Master League in any way, shape or form.

Again, while an XL Bibarel features on PVPoke’s Ultra League list, you’re better off leaving it as the Pokemon comes in as the 442nd best pick in the league.

If your heart is set on using Bibarel in Pokemon GO, your best option is going to be the Great League, however, don’t expect big things.

Bibarel is ranked as the 202nd best choice in the division. It does pick up wins against some big players, including Stunfisk, Azumarill and Swampert but is dangerously outclassed by many other Pokemon.
