Indiana woman appears on 'Naked and Afraid'

Whitney Hamblin says she filmed the show last year but has not seen tonight's episode.

WESTFIELD, Ind. (WTHR) — A woman from central Indiana is going to appear on the Discovery Channel show "Naked and Afraid" at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Whitney Hamblin grew up in Westfield. When she had early release from high school, she would hang out in Cool Creek Park and enjoy nature.

Since graduating, she has taken on other adventures, like hiking the Appalachian Trail. She enjoys being outside and learning how to survive on her own.

Hamblin says she filmed the show last year and it was an interesting experience, but she can't give away what happens...especially because she hasn't even seen the episode yet.

She plans to watch it in Westfield with her friends and family on Sunday night.

Now in its tenth season, "Naked and Afraid" shows the journey of two strangers who meet for the first time in a remote location (without food and water) and have to survive for 21 days on their own.
