Indiana State snubbed: Social media reacts to Sycamores' 2024 NCAA Tournament absence
Indiana State basketball has been left out of the 2024 NCAA Tournament field of 68 on Selection Sunday.
Not even a 28-win season, regular-season Missouri Valley Conference championship — nor the star power of Robbie Avila, aka Cream Abdul-Jabbar — were enough to get the Sycamores into the Big Dance.

An 84-80 loss to Drake in the MVC Tournament Championship game on March 10 likely left Indiana State out of the tournament field. That, coupled with numerous stolen bids from the Pac-12, ACC and others, ultimately left Josh Schertz's team on the outside looking in.
The Sycamores are left out despite a NET Ranking of No. 29 and a No. 45 in KenPom Rankings. Indiana State had one Quad 1 victory, an 85-77 road victory over Bradley, but finished 1-4 in Quad 1 games. While the Sycamores went 26-2 in other quadrant games, a Quad 4 home loss to lowly Illinois State (178 NET), likely also hurt their cause.

Man… Indiana State deserved to be in the field. That sucks. No Rob Wave in March Madness.

That's it. No Indiana State. Becomes the highest-rated NET team to not get a bid. Previous high was No. 33 NC State in 2019.
Sycamores were four spots better at No. 29. Out.#columncoming
Literally dejected.

I'd watch Indiana State players park cars before watching this Virginia team play basketball in the NCAA Tournament
