IMPD reminds Hoosiers to take care of animals during extreme cold
(NOTE: The video above is from a previous report on keeping pets safe in the cold temperatures.)
IMPD officers responded to the 2900 block of South Pennsylvania Street, near East Troy Avenue, early Sunday morning on a report of a person who asked for help with a dog that wouldn't leave them alone after being outside for a few hours.
Officers were able to get the dog into the warmth of their vehicle and transported her to Indianapolis Animal Care Services.
Police are sharing a reminder to bring pets inside and keep a close eye on them so they can't get loose out into the cold.
