A good (and occasionally bad! ) friend comes from there. Goes back as often as she can and loves it. Sounds pretty much idyllic!
I'm puzzled about why an anticyclone (on its own) would have to be 'battled with' though. Normally produce settled, clear, weather - unless there's a Low pressure area nearby - which would cause winds and, maybe, rain.
