“Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight,” Bubba Wallace’s wholesome message to Ty Gibbs and his family following Coy Gibbs’s death

Ty Gibbs made the entire Gibbs family proud and happy on Saturday as he won the 2022 Xfinity series title. But the whole family woke up to a tragedy the next day as Ty’s father and Joe Gibbs Racing co-owner Coy Gibbs passed away. Coy was the vice-Chairman of the organization.

Ty Gibbs was the stand-in driver for Kurt Busch after the veteran was ruled out due to a concussion. He drove the No:45 car and then the No:23 vehicle for the team since. He partnered with Bubba Wallace during that time. Wallace has been supportive of the youngster since he joined the 23X1 Garage.

Bubba Wallace expressed his condolences to the Gibbs family for Coy’s death through his social media handles. He said that his heart is with Ty and the Gibbs family. Bubba pointed out that Coy Gibbs was always great to him. He advised young Gibbs to hold on to his loved ones tighter.

Been a tough day. Hate that we couldn’t have a better result. None of that matters at the end of the day. My heart goes to Ty, Coach, Pat, and the Gibbs family. Coy was always great to me!  Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight!” Bubba Wallace Tweeted.

The reactions from fans on Twitter were very positive, unlike most of the bubba tweets comment sessions,  as they shared their messages with the Gibbs family. Some odd Tweets were there mocking Wallace. Fans also appreciated Bubba for his impressive 2022 season.

Tomorrow isn’t promised. We have to hug our loved ones. Tell people we love and care for them. Life is short. My mom was 49 when she passed; I empathize with the pain the Gibbs family must be feeling today. Prayers going up.

Love you brother. It’s been a day and I know how much the Gibbs family means to you. Just time to take a break, reset and wash it away. Keep your head up. ❤️

Well said Bubba. We can all get lost in daily emotions. At the “end of the day” there is a bigger power at play….constantly trying to get our attention. Will we listen is the question. God bless you.
