How To Learn About Night Orchids
If you want to learn about the Night Orchid's existence, you will want to talk to Shadowheart. After speaking to her enough, you can ask her to tell you more about herself. Once this happens, she will mention that she doesn't truly remember much due to her memories being wiped; however, she knows that she cannot swim and she loves Night Orchids. After that, you won't be able to do anything until reaching Act 2.

Shadowheart will mention that Night Orchids grow in the Shadow Cursed Lands, but won't give you any tips on how to find them. It seems that the locations can change depending on your playthrough. It seems that the Night Orchid only grows in the Ruined Battlefield area of the game. The easiest thing to do is walk around the area with all the items you can interact with highlighted. You will want to look around trees, as they are usually found around the base of them.
Here are some known areas they will spawn:
- X: 54, Y: 177 - Near where you first meet the Harpers
- X: 35, Y: 30 - Directly northwest of the Shadowed Battlefield Waypoint
What To Do With Night Orchids
Once you have finally found one, you can give it to Shadowheart. In order to do this, you will want to approach her and ask if she remembers telling you that her favorite flower is the Night Orchid. You can then give it to her, and she will make a joke about them being deadly to touch. However, she then laughs and thanks you. Later in the game, after you finish her storyline, she will ask you if you know why she loves the Night Orchid. She then goes on to tell you that even in such dark places, it is nice to think about something so beautiful being able to survive. Given her backstory, this is a poetic thought and something that shows how much love and dedication the developers put into this game.
