Frank Mba: Passionate police officer who got massive promotions under 3 years

Frank Mba is a Nigerian lawyer and police officer. A graduate of the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG), Mba, the immediate past Force Public Relations Officer, has made a name for himself as a renowned and respected police officer.

He is perhaps one of the most fortunate officers in the history of the force. While some officers spent years waiting to be promoted, Mba became a Commissioner of Police (CP), an Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) and a Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) – all top positions in the police hierarchy – in the space of three years.

What is even more stunning is that he was promoted to the rank of DIG just three months after he was decorated as an AIG. Such a meteoric ascension is surely unprecedented in the history of the force.
