FFXIV Patch 6.11 Release Notes (April 26)
FFXIV Patch 6.11 release notes are now out and they reveal a huge number of bug fixes as well as some important balance changes on various character classes.
As promised earlier, Square Enix delivered Patch 6.11 to Final Fantasy XIV today. The servers are under maintenance at the moment, but you will be able to download the new update and jump back to your world soon enough.

With FFXIV Patch 6.11, the developers have made lots of balance changes in PvP and Battle System for various character classes from Gunbreaker and Samurai to Dancer and Red Mage. Also, dozens of new items have been added to the game with the new update.
Without further ado, let’s what’s new in the new update:

Resolved Issues
- An issue wherein players could not advance the healer role quest “A New Battleground” under certain conditions.
- An issue when using the monk PvP action Enlightenment wherein enemies afflicted with the Pressure Point status effect did not take additional damage from the monk who applied it.
- An issue when multiple bards are in a party wherein the PvE action the Wanderer’s Minuet would change to Pitch Perfect when another bard in the party executed the Wanderer’s Minuet.
- An issue wherein execution of the bard PvP action Powerful Shot rendered the user unable to run under certain conditions (PlayStation®4).
- An issue wherein the description for the machinist PvE action Queen Overdrive was incorrect.
- An issue wherein the machinist PvP action Wildfire counted the damage over time effect of Bioblaster as attack actions required for detonation.
- An issue wherein the machinist PvP action Wildfire dealt more damage than intended under certain conditions.
- An issue during Crystalline Conflict matches wherein certain ground targeted actions were canceled when under the effect of the white mage PvP action Miracle of Nature.
- An issue wherein the white mage PvP action Cure II had no recast time under certain conditions.
- An issue wherein the conjurer / white mage PvE action Aero II base potency and damage over time potency were set higher than intended.
- An issue during Crystalline Conflict matches wherein the Kardia and Kardion effects granted by the sage PvP action Kardia were dispelled when incapacitated.
- An issue wherein execution of the PvP action Guard together with other damage reducing actions prevented all incoming damage.
- An issue during Frontline campaigns wherein the increased movement speed effect of certain actions could also be applied when riding a mount.
- An issue wherein the gunbreaker, dancer, reaper, and sage weapons newly added to the trial the Minstrel’s Ballad: Thordan’s Reign could not be purchased in exchange for Heavens’ Ward Helm Fragments.
- An issue wherein the secondary attributes of Panthean gear obtained from the alliance raid Aglaia were incorrect.
- An issue wherein the secondary attributes of augmented classical gear obtained in exchange for crafted item level 580 gear were incorrect.
- An issue wherein dyeing the head gear Replica Dreadwyrm Barbut of Maiming had no effect on its coloring.
- An issue when playing as a Viera male wherein the /visor command could not be used when equipping Endless Summer Glasses.
- An issue when using the market board wherein enabling the Unobtained/Unregistered Only filter, purchasing an item, then viewing the listing for said item displayed an incorrect number of items for sale.
Items

- New achievements and titles have been added.
- New music has been added.
Battle System
- The high-end duty Dragonsong’s Reprise (Ultimate) has been added.
- Requirements: After completing Asphodelos: The Fourth Circle (Savage), speak with the Wandering Minstrel in Old Sharlayan (X:12.7 Y:14.2) as a level 90 Disciple of War or Magic
- Completion Rewards: Upon completing Dragonsong’s Reprise (Ultimate), players can earn a separate reward once per week. Players who have yet to receive that week’s reward can still claim it even if other members of the party have completed the duty prior to the weekly reset.
- Actions and traits have been adjusted as follows:
- Gunbreaker
| Gnashing Fang | Potency has been increased from 360 to 380. |
| Savage Claw | Potency has been increased from 440 to 460. |
| Wicked Talon | Potency has been increased from 520 to 540. |
| Jugular Rip | Potency has been increased from 180 to 200. |
| Abdomen Tear | Potency has been increased from 220 to 240. |
| Eye Gouge | Potency has been increased from 260 to 280. |
| Jump | When Jump changes to Mirage Dive, there will now be a small input delay to prevent the unintended execution of Mirage Dive. |
| High Jump | When High Jump changes to Mirage Dive, there will now be a small input delay to prevent the unintended execution of Mirage Dive. |
| Midare Setsugekka | Potency has been increased from 600 to 640. |
| Kaeshi: Setsugekka | Potency has been increased from 600 to 640. |
| Shoha | Potency has been increased from 500 to 520. |
| Wildfire | Potency increase per weapon skill landed has been increased from 200 to 220. |
PvP
- New adjustments have been applied to Paladin, Warrior, Dark Knight, Gunbreaker, Monk, Ninja, Samurai, Reaper, Bard, Machinist, Dancer, Black Mage, Red Mage, White Mage, Scholar, and Astrologian. Check out the full changes here.
Known Issues
- An issue when progressing through the Myths of the Realm quest series wherein the symbols representing Menphina and Halone in the Omphalos are incorrect.
- An issue when viewing the description of the machinist PvP action Bishop Autoturret wherein the listed barrier potency is incorrect.
Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PS4, PS5, and PC.
