Poljičak has to his name a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 538 which was achieved on the 25th of July 2022 and ATP doubles ranking of World No. 338 which was achieved on the 18th of July 2022.

Poljičak made his Association of Tennis Professionals main draw debut at the 2021 Croatia Open Umag after receiving a wildcard entry into the doubles main draw. He was partnered with Admir Kalender. The pair defeated 2nd seed pair of Pablo Cuevas and Fabrice Martin in the first round in straight sets but went on to lose in the next round to the eventual champion pair of Fernando Romboli and David Vega Hernández in three sets.

In the year 2022 at Zagreb Open, he reached his maiden Challenger final through a wildcard entry where he lost to Filip Misolic. At the same tournament, he reached the semifinals in doubles with his partner, Antonio Šančić. As a result, he touched the top 550 at World No. 549 (up 923 positions) in the singles ranking list and the top 375 in doubles (up 88 positions) in the doubles ranking list on the 16th of May 2022.

Poljičak went into the tournament ranked no.6 in the world for juniors and was the 3rd seed. 

He is the third Croatian to win the title of a Junior Grand Slam.
