‘Don’t be pressured’ – Lady advises 30-year-olds who are still single, broke

A Nigerian lady, identified as Ife on Twitter, has advised 30-year-olds not to feel pressured by societal expectations.

According to her, people over 30 that are single and broke are usually shamed for these things.

However, she encouraged such people to not feel bad or pressured, saying “If you are not ready, you are really not ready”. She also advised that if you are ready and none of your expectations happen, you should go forth and enjoy life in all the ways you can.

“Being over 30 and single, you’re susceptible to being shamed for almost everything.

“- Successful BUT single
“- Ageing without a husband.
“- Eggs are drying up
“- Over 30, broke, and single
“… basically, anything you haven’t accomplished according to society’s standards.

“Let me tell you, DO NOT BE PRESSURED. If you’re not ready, you’re not ready. If you’re ready and none of these aren’t forthcoming, go forth and enjoy the life of your head in all the ways you can.

“Time and chance baby…

“#GoodMorning,” She tweeted.
