What Is Split-Screen Multiplayer?
Split-screen is a feature that is prevalent in many games, as it allows the player to hook up another controller to their console and play with their friends locally.
Many games offer this ability for co-op missions or other offline sections of the game, but in recent years Call of Duty titles have allowed players to do split-screen multiplayer.
The option works by heading into the multiplayer section of the game and turning on your second controller, a prompt would then appear saying ‘Press X to join’, this would then allow the second player to sign in as a guest or via their own account and play in the same multiplayer match via split-screen on one console.
But will Call of Duty: Vanguard offer the same option as past titles?
Does Call of Duty: Vanguard Have Split-Screen Multiplayer?
Yes, similar to the previous Call of Duty titles, Call of Duty: Vanguard will support split-screen multiplayer. However, this feature is only available for those on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
To enable this feature in Multiplayer, all you need to do is hook up a second controller and press ‘X’ on PlayStation, or ‘A’ on Xbox to sign the second player in. Then when you join a game, you’ll have two players on the same console via split-screen.
