Destined Kids: Popular child group that touched Nigerians’ hearts with melodious tunes

Remember the popular Nigerian child group, Destined Kids? The group sang hits like Joy Joy Joy and many other hits? Yeah, they have all grown adults now living normal lives like any other people. You must be wondering what happened to them after they seemed to disappear from the face of the earth following their outstanding success in the gospel music industry in Nigeria.

The good news is that the five children that made up the group are still alive and kicking. One of them, Rejoice Iwueze, recently got married. The older girl, Favour, has since married and has a family of her own. The Destined Kids may have stopped making music as a group, but we cannot deny that we were entertained during their heydays in the early 2000s. Destined Kids was a group of six children who sang gospel songs back in the early 2000s. However, only five children sang in the group as the sixth one, Wonderful, was still a baby. The other children are Favour, Rejoice, Joshua, Best and Caleb.

All six members of the group are children of Pastor Stephen Iwueze and Lady Love Iwueze, natives of Imo State, Nigeria. The group was one of the pioneer child groups in the Nigerian music industry. Rejoice Iwueze was the lead vocalist, while her father, Pastor Iwueze, was the composer of all their songs.
