Cozy Puzzle Game A Little to the Left Features at Day of the Devs
You don’t need me to tell you that the last few years have been a stressful time. As the world gets worse, millions and millions turn to video games as a form of escapism.
While different genres appease different people, recently, more laidback puzzlers, like Unpacking, have garnered a lot of attention.
These titles take what would usually be a mundane task, like moving house and unpacking your belongings, and turn them into relaxing and satisfying experiences.
A Little to the Left is the next game to fall into this genre and it was recently spotlighted as part of the Day of the Devs tenth-anniversary live stream at Summer Game Fest.
Announced almost a year ago, A little to the Left sees you organise and declutter a house in a very Unpacking fashion.. The game features over 75 different puzzles and is inspired by the developers’, Max Inferno’s, real-life home.
The new trailer at Day of the Devs takes a deeper look at the title with Max Inferno sharing details on exactly what inspired the puzzler, including their cat!
While the tasks may seem simple, like organising spoons, pencils or post-it notes, Max Inferno states that the puzzles will require “more surreal logic as the game progresses.”
Alongside the more challenging puzzles, players will need to navigate the game while being interrupted by a pesky cat, who, as cats like to do, will mess up all of your handiwork.
A Little to the Left is due for release on the Nintendo Switch and PC later this year and can be wishlisted on Steam right now. There is also a demo available for players to relax and test out their organisational skills.
