Converting Scale Feet To HO - Model Railroader Magazine

I like Brakie's solution.  I bought an HO scale ruler (probably from Walthers) when I started my first model RR.....  and it has been one of the best tools I acquired for building my layout.

But that would require adding numbers if the length is greater than 86 feet. 

.... I've got two or three of those rulers so at least one is always handy.
