Celebrities Featured in Kanye West's "Famous" Music Video React to Their NSFW "Appearances"

People are also furious that Rihanna and her ex, Brown, who pleaded guilty to assaulting her in 2009, were also placed next to each other.

The video seems to be a meditation on fame (for right now, anyway), inspired by artist Vincent Desiderio's portrait "Sleep." The people he picked to feature, as Vanity Fair points out, include three groups: family/collaborators, women he's been with, and "partners in controversy." But West insists that none of it is an endorsement (or antiendorsement) of any of them.

But what we do know is that West unveiled the video last night for crowd of 8,000 at the L.A. Forum, and it looks pretty crazy—check out Tidal's live stream here.

UPDATE: Well, we knew this was coming. A couple of the celebs featured in "Famous" are breaking their silence on their "appearance" in the video. One of the first to respond? None other than Brown. The singer posted a screenshot of his likeness in the video on Instagram with the caption, "Why I gotta have the plumbers butt/ crack showing WAX figure? This n---- KANYE CRAZY, talented, but crazy."

Bush also addressed his appearance via a rep who told TMZ, "In case there was any doubt ... that is not President Bush." The rep added that it should be obvious Bush's likeness in the video is fake, and that the 43rd president "is in much better shape" than his representation. Trump's camp has also denied his involvement.

And of course, never one to be silent in the face of controversy, West himself has (sort of) made a comment about the controversy he sparked. In a tweet that has since been deleted, the rapper wrote, "Can somebody sue me already #I'llwait."

One person who definitely isn't upset? West's wife, Kim Kardashian, who apparently gave "Famous" her stamp of approval. "[I say] a lot of lines other wives would not allow a husband to say,” West told Vanity Fair. “But my wife also puts up photos that other husbands wouldn't let them put up. One of the keys to happiness in our marriage is we’re allowed to be ourselves.”
