BREAKING: Osinachi Nwachukwu’s husband arraigned for murder
Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has been arraigned for murder.
A source told Skabash that he was arraigned on Thursday at the Federal High Court Abuja on 23 counts of murder.
Peter Nwachukwu was first arrested on April 10 after his wife died in Abuja. She had spent five days at the National Hospital before she succumbed to her illness.
Skabash had reported that her autopsy report showed that she died from the respiratory ailment she suffered.
Osinachi Nwachukwu died in April after reportedly suffering domestic abuse from her husband, who was accused of being in total control of her life and music career.
Her colleagues in the gospel music genre had accused her husband of abusing her for years and being manipulative. They claimed the deceased was urged many times to leave her marriage but she refused.

Further reports after the Ekwueme singer’s death also revealed he had beaten the deceased in the presence of their four children, ordering them to do the same to her. He was also alleged to have told them that beating women is a good thing.
Favour Made, her elder sister, added that her sister died from a cluster in her chest after she was kicked by her husband. She also said the family had urged her to quit the marriage but she would say God is against divorce.
She said they had not told the doctor that she was kicked in the chest, saying Osinachi Nwachukwu could have been saved if the doctor knew the cause of the blood cluster in her chest.
