Boone Askew of Comanche: Teenage cowboy whose dreams got crashed

Boone Askew was a cowboy who worked on several ranches in the US, some of which are: Guitars, 6666 Dixon Creek, Big Creek, The Crutch and many others.

Who is Boone Askew?

Robert Boone Askew was born to Shawn and Angela Askew in Abilene, Texas, on November 18, 2004. 

Boone grew up in Albany and Comanche, Texas, where he took part in athletics, enjoyed playing the violin, and enjoyed exhibiting animals. He developed a love for the cowboy way of life from a young age. He continued working at cattle ranches, including, to mention a few, Guitars, 6666 Dixon Creek, Gibson Ranches, The Byrds, The Nail, The Spires, Big Creek, Turkey Tracks, The Crutch, The Sanford Ranch, Plemmons Land and Cattle, PICO Ranches, and the Bowers.

Boone spent some quality time with Billy Lamb of Haskell, Texas, as well as working on other small cattle businesses from Texas to Tennessee. Boone fits the definition of a cowboy in every way. He was quite happy that he had been able to win the respect of the individuals he worked with. His experiences in life much outweigh his time on earth. He put a lot of effort into leading a complete life, which included spending a lot of time riding horses, team roping with loved ones, and going hunting and fishing with his father. 

Boone also had a passion for machinery, and his father had taught him how to fix things that others could not. Boone’s mother also taught him several useful skills. Boone was adored and cherished a lot. Boone had never met a stranger or anyone he couldn’t carry on a conversation with. No one ever left Boone’s side without leaving a better person for knowing him.

Boone joined the First Baptist Church Comanche’s youth group once the family relocated there. Boone came to understand his need for redemption and the fact that we are lost without a saviour during his time with the youth group. 

On December 23, 2018, Boone made the most significant choice of his life by accepting Jesus Christ into his heart as his saviour. Boone was a devoted member of his family and a devoted disciple of Christ. He was very proud of his younger sister Bella, who followed in his Christian footsteps, and was very dedicated to the younger members of his family.

What happened to Boone Askew? 

On Sunday, October 23, 2022, Boone Askew of Comanche, Texas, reportedly got involved in a car accident. According to reports, the accident was serious. However, no other information on Askew’s involvement in an accident was disclosed.

It is reported that he died from injuries sustained shortly after the vehicle he was in had a head-on collision with another vehicle.

Boone is survived by his parents, Shawn and Angela Askew of Comanche; his sister, Bella; and his grandparents, Bronco and Gayala Askew of Albany and Danny and Janice Armstrong of Abilene. 

His cousins, Avery, Taos, Emma, and Levi, as well as his aunts and uncles Casey and Lindsey Armstrong of Borger, Texas, and J.W. Askew of Albany, Texas, are still alive. Many members of Boone’s extended family and acquaintances are still alive. 

The burial took place after a celebration of life service on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Hillcrest Church of Christ in Abilene.

A memorial fund has been established in Boone’s honour.

Boone was an extraordinary person. To know Boone was to cherish him, as he had never met an outsider or anybody he was reportedly unable to carry on a discussion with. Nobody at any point was said to have walked out on Boone without leaving as a superior individual for knowing him.
