Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere was born in Nigeria’s Abia State on October 22, 1973, in the Ohanku village in Ndoki, Ukwa East Local Government Area, to the family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chinyere Nwankwo.
When he grew older, he went to Seabird Nursery School in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. Soon after, he completed his first school leaving certificate while attending the Army Children’s School in Port Harcourt for his primary schooling.
Chibuzor experienced plenty of hurried moments in his life. He travelled from Port Harcourt to Lagos in quest of brighter pastures, where he camped out under a bridge while waiting to be hired as a cleaner by the Nigerian airport authority. To make ends meet, he also sold GSM recharge cards and served as a security guard.
Ministry
He belonged to the Jehovah’s Witnesses but chose to follow Pentecostalism. He came across the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) and started teaching house fellowships there. He resigned from MFM and started preaching the gospel on his own. Four years later, he established the Omega Power Ministries, or OPM, where he rose to the positions of apostle and general overseer.

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere is one of the Nigerian men of God who has blessed thousands of lives. He oversees a charitable organisation through which he supports those in need and sponsors the education of several kids.
With the support of God’s anointing in his life, he launched a humanitarian organisation called The OPM Foundation. This foundation launched the man of God into the world as many souls were positively impacted by his humanitarian services.
The foundation has accomplished things like empowerment during recovery, training, and almsgiving. The charity inaugurated and operated the Free Computer Training Center at Elele prisons in 2010. Many inmates, including prison guards, graduated from the programme.
Through the development of free computer training centres in Nigeria, the OPM Foundation trained thousands of Nigerians in fundamental computer programming, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and other computer programmes.
The foundation began its university scholarship programme with each indigene from Nigeria’s federated unit more than seven years ago.
In Rumuji Town, Emuoha LGA, Rivers State, the Foundation established a free tailoring and computer training centre in 2012. Numerous residents, including non-natives, have benefited from the programme.
To address the issue of water shortage in the area, the foundation also provided and commissioned water boreholes for the residents of Rumuji and other villages in Nigeria.

OPM free computer training, free computer classes, free text and exercise books, four locations offering free education, free four sets of uniforms, free sandals, free launches, completely air-conditioned classrooms, and a fully stocked lab are all offered in Port Harcourt.
To assist the less fortunate students, many of whom arrived at school hungry, OPM implemented free food in the classrooms. The Foundation also opened the first free ICT-based nursery/primary school in Rivers State in September 2013, although it was only open to kids from low-income families.

The founder of this foundation recently hired a Multi Skill Acquisition Center in Port Harcourt to train Nigerians in oil and gas and other specialised fields. Over 6000 Nigerians have completed training in these and other fields, including carpentry, tailoring, welding on rigs, and free driving lessons.
In addition, the Foundation rebuilt an Ikuorie Comprehensive secondary school in Abia State’s Ohanku Ukwa East LGA that had been in disrepair for more than ten years, outfitted it with computers, and installed a generator to power it.
Apostle Dr. Chibuzor recently sponsored 140 couples who attended a wedding ceremony, and he gave the men money to present to their surprised in-laws—many of whom had given up hope that such an honour would ever come their way—to pay for the bride price. He paid for the couples’ wedding dresses and suits and refreshments for the guests who had been invited to the ceremony.
