All Disney Speedstorm Characters at Launch
Last night’s Nintendo Direct was a great show for kart racer fans as Nintendo revealed more new content coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Disney announced its brand new take on the kart racer games with Speedstorm, featuring some popular characters from the many franchises of Disney.
The latest Nintendo Direct was a compact show with so many trailers for the upcoming games to Nintendo Switch. From new trailers of the announced titles such as Kirby and the Forgotten Land to the brand new announcement like Disney Speedstorm!

Unfortunately, we didn’t see much from the upcoming Disney kart racer except for a brief gameplay teaser, but we do know the starring characters at launch, which could be expanded until launch!
All Disney Speedstorm Characters (So Far!)

- Donald Duck
- Jack Sparrow
- Micky Mouse
- Mulan
- Sulley
- The Beast
Similar to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, each character in Disney Speedstorm will have special skills and abilities, allowing them to fight with the opponents while racing for the finish line.
There will be various circuits available at launch, each with its own challenges and difficulties.
You can currently pre-register for the game for a chance to participate in a pre-launch beta session. The dates for the beta are yet to be revealed, but it probably won’t take more than five months.
Disney Speedstorm will be available for free on Nintendo Switch as well as other consoles and PC. The release date is yet to be revealed, but it is supposed to be out in Summer 2022.
This announcement from Disney could probably be in response to Warner’s Multiversus game that was revealed last year, featuring many WB and DC characters in a free-to-play fighting arena.
