A Coffee Shop in South Africa Is Serving Coffee in an Ice Cream Cone

Attention coffee-lovers with a sweet tooth: Johannesburg is about to jump up a few spots on your must-travel-to list. Barista Dayne Levinrad returned to his home country after working as a coffee consultant in Los Angeles, Australia, and Brazil, and then proceeded to go nuts.
The idea to serve coffee in a chocolate-lined ice cream cone is brilliant, period, but there was more to it than a eureka moment. Traditional cones are too thin to hold all that steamy liquid, but Levinrad solved the problem by rolling his own wafers with various types of flours; to prevent coffee leakage, he worked with four types of chocolate compounds to coat the inside. Even still, it's not a drink you can leisurely sip on while contemplating the morning paper—drinkers have 10 minutes to sip before the chocolate starts melting.
