13-Minute Meals: Not your Grandma's green bean casserole

Ingredients:
10 small mushrooms, chopped
8 slices of bacon
2 ½ cups fresh green beans, blanched
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 shallots diced
1 cup half and half or cream
¼ cup cooking sherry
1 cup parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350. Fry bacon in large skillet until brown and crispy. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels. Add mushrooms, shallots and garlic powder to the grease, sauté 4 minutes. Combine half and half, garlic powder, sherry and ½ cup parmesan cheese and pour over beans. Simmer until slightly thickened. Pour into prepared dish. Top with crumbled bacon and remaining parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 20 minutes until sauce is bubbling and the top is toasted.
